Abstract :
In this issue of EMR are included a selection of papers devoted to issues surrounding the concept of teamwork. Such a simple concept as teamwork turns out to be a particularly difficult leadership task. Webster\´s New World Dictionary defines teamwork as "a joint action by a group of people, in which each person subordinates his or her individual interests and opinions to the unity and efficiency of the group." Perhaps the challenge that must first be overcome is that teamwork is a choice each person must make and this choice is built upon the perceived benefits of being a team member.
