Abstract :
A shielded high-voltage divider equipped with a temperature control system has been developed for the precise measurement of direct voltages of up to 100 kV. The measuring divider consists of 101 wire-wound resistors with a total resistance of about 1 GΩ and has been set up in a metal vessel under compressed sulphur hexafluoride (SF 6). The measuring divider is mounted in an electrode arrangement that provides a homogeneous electrical field; temperature control is ensured by Peltier elements. The nominal scale factors are 100:1 and 10000:1. The experimental investigation of all resistors and influence quantities as well as the shielded construction and the temperature control system have allowed a relative uncertainty of 2×10-6 (k=2) to be achieved
