Abstract :
The relationship between transistor parameters and circuit characteristics of an RC phase-shift oscillator is analysed by flow-graph and root-locus techniques. Exact formulae and approximations for the starting frequencies of three- and four-section RC phase-shift oscillators are derived. Prediction of the operating frequency for a given current gain is presented graphically and compared with experimental results.
