Abstract
A novel wavelength measurement system based on an InGaAs-InP multiple quantum-well electroabsorption filtering detector has been demonstrated. The tunable wavelength response of the filtering detector is used in an active manner to track the wavelength of a spectrally narrow input optical signal. An average resolution of /spl plusmn/8.30 pm was achieved, over a measurement range of 43 nm.
