The Insulated Conductors Committee of the Power Engineering Society at a recent meeting recognizes Al Gilbert and Frank Precopio, the two inventors of chemically crosslinked polyethylene. Because of the historic significance for insulation technology, the remarks made by these two inventors are reproduced in this magazine.
