Abstract :
This paper investigates problem of maneuvering target tracking, using multiple bi-static range and range rate measurements from multiple bi-static radars, constituting a multistatic radar. This paper mainly concentrates on multi-lateration, used to determine the target position and velocity, which are quite erroneous, as the measurements are noisy. To remove the effect of the process and measurement noise involved, these measurements from the multi-static radar system are fed as inputs to the filtering algorithms. This paper mainly compares the performance of two filters namely α-β-γ filter and kalman filter. The performance is compared in terms of Root mean square error.
