Abstract :
A common polarisation control with a single polarisation controller for a coherent optical FDM transmission system is proposed. This scheme is applicable to the system carrying 600 Mbit/s-16 channel to 5 Gbit/s-2-channel coherent FDM signals, with a great reduction in receiver complexity.
