            Abstract : 
This paper presents an ultra-low power 8-bit Successive Approximation Register (SAR) ADC, suitable for biomedical applications. The converter comprises of a sample and hold circuit, a preamplifier based dynamic latch comparator, a successive approximation register and an 8-bit DAC. The SAR ADC was implemented in 0.18μm CMOS technology with 1.8V as the supply voltage. The proposed 8 bit SAR-ADC consumed a power of around 164.97 μW.
