Prediction and engineering assessment in early design

The paper discusses the steps which could be taken in the early design stages to predict, assess and then verify the reliability of the component parts of the system. Prediction of ¿mean time between failures¿ of electronic equipment is dealt with in particular. The A.G.R.E.E. type of testing carried out by the manufacturer to determine the reliability of his final product is described in some detail in an Appendix.
