Abstract :
Regulations have been placed to specify the maximum amount of electromagnetic interference from an implanted electronic device to keep the radio interference to minimum levels. The current work discusses inductively coupled non-PLL based approaches utilizing linear and non-linear modulation profiles to transmit data through frequency shift keying (FSK). The current paper also discusses the limitations phase locked loop based FSK modulators for creating spread spectrum signals. The circuits have been fabricated using 6 metal 0.18um CMOS technology.
