Teams: how they can contribute to a productive workforce

Teams ...what are they and how do they serve both the individual and the company? The simplest way to answer this is to define a team as a family. In actuality, a family should function as a team. Like any team, a family needs to have a mission written and agreed to by every member of the group. Would having a mission offer cohesiveness to the family unit? Would it promote understanding and "teamwork"? Very much so as it would to any team or business establishment.
