Abstract
In this work, we present a simple and new method for producing a biaxially-textured Ni tape by electrodeposition for the substrate of YBCO coated conductor, since the electrodeposition process has many advantages from the industrial point of view. The thickness of the Ni deposit was 50 μm and can be peeled off easily from the cathode. The crystal orientations of the electrodeposited nickel tape were determined by the analysis of X-ray pole figure and EBSD. This tape showed cube texture with out-of-plane (<7°) and in-plane alignment (<20°)
