Abstract
The Log-Square-Hoyt fading model was recently reported to describe an optical inter-satellite communication system. In the present work, the analysis is extended to the amount of fading (AF) of Log-Square-Hoyt model. First, we show that the AF has a closed-form expression. Then we show that the corresponding optimization model can be reduced to a quartic algebraic equation. Numerical results are also provided.
