  • Abstract
Several configurations of an internal tin type conductor were fabricated designed to explore a concept to produce low cost high performance conductors suitable for future High Energy Physics magnet applications. Conductors with integral barriers were evaluated as well as a separated stabilizer concept. Critical current measurements are presented and utilized to project potential current densities expected to be achieved in more optimized designs. The separated stabilizer concept proved impractical for high current densities. Cost estimates for conductors of both types are presented for production scales such as the VLHC
