Abstract :
The sensitivity of the magnitude transfer function of narrowband cascaded filters is evaluated in terms of pole sensitivities. It is shown that Q sensitivity is often negligible in determining performance and that the worst-case sensitivity of the magnitude transfer function exhibits maxima at particular frequencies and that Q-factor and ¿0 sensitivity are the dominant factors determining the sensitivity of the magnitude transfer function. The worst-case sensitivity of the cascade-realization is compared with that of the corresponding ladder realization
