Abstract :
Measurement of surface resistance by means of a dielectric resonator uses a smaller area of the sample´s surface than the corresponding area for a cavity resonator. The distribution of current density is well behaved at the edge of the sampled area and the method appears to be convenient for testing flat surfaces, narrow strips and thin films.
