Abstract :
In this paper, the authors report on the electrical and thermal properties of Bi-2223 composite conductors prepared by the “accordion-folding method” (AFM). Thermal behavior study on AFM Bi-2223 conductors similar to those that have been successfully used to assemble the cold stage of low-loss current leads for CERN, has been performed by using a newly developed experimental apparatus that is described in detail
