Abstract :
The author presents a parallel stripes artistic rendering scheme inspired by Victor Vasarely´s art work. The scheme derives stripes as isoparametric curves of a warped surface. The article attempts to create an automated system to produce similar illusive drawings from 3D geometry. Toward this end, we first establish a scheme that would prohibit the crossing of warped curves, a scheme that is based on injective or one-to-one planar warping. This implementation and all the examples were created with the aid of the IRIT solid modeling system, developed at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
