Abstract :
Looking for a job or brainstorming ways to enhance one´s career options can easily lead to a migraine-inducing mental meltdown. Take a deep breath. Relax. Allow your mind to float outside that clichéd box. Maybe your first thoughts recall the television ad with the Web site that helped secure a high profile gig for that talented fiddling beaver. That site must work—he ended up in that limousine hot tub with a model after all. There´s the other site—it helped one guy get out of that office and its “casual Fridays” filled with coworkers dressed only in their skivvies and knickers. Or you could tap into the wealth of career resources at the IEEE (unless you´re a noctural, semiaquatic rodent with an orchestral aptitude).
