Abstract :
In this paper, we reported that signal disturbances of the MR sensors could be induced by fluctuation of the spacing between the MR sensors and the disk surfaces, even without a head/disk contact. Both the experimental and the theoretical results suggest that the temperature rise of the MR sensor will decrease as the head/disk spacing decreases due to the heat transfer through a rotating disk
