Abstract :
A split-function method to increase the calculation speed in the analysis of nonlinear optical fibre transmissions is presented. The solution is expressed as a product of two functions at each step. This method provides higher-order numerical solutions and error monitoring capabilities that are not available in the conventional split-step method
