Abstract :
The dynamic performance of standard hard disk 50 percent suspensions, of 30 percent integrated “830 TSA” suspension, and of Fujitsu´s integrated “pico-CAPS” suspension are investigated using finite element analysis. Frequency response functions for in-plane and out-of-plane vibrations are determined both by simulation and by experiment. The dynamic performance of the suspensions during shock and head slap is evaluated
