Abstract
A preprocessor specifically designed for induction motors has been developed. The preprocessor requires very little input yet produces all the data necessary for a finite-element analysis, including the effects of external circuits and motion. Extensive validity checks have been made. The preprocessor has been used in a dynamic analysis of a squirrel cage induction motor
