Abstract :
Formulas for the eigenimpedance of YY-junction circulators are proposed. The eigenimpedance is used to find a circulator equation that satisfies the circulating conditions and a design procedure that differs from those based on admittance slope. Examples are given for calculating circulator characteristics by CAD or optimization methods, taking ferrite electromagnetic losses into account
