Abstract :
This month¿s special issue is dedicated to biologically inspired networking, and has been organized by Drs. Dinesh Verma and Pietro Liò. Many fields of engineering, including computer networking, look to the natural world for great ideas. From childhood we have been fascinated by the designs of nature. Who has not been amazed by a caterpillar metamorphosing into a butterfly, a chameleon changing colors and disappearing completely into the scenery, or the ingenuity of the Venus Flytrap? It is obvious that natural life has come up with many wonderful adaptations for survival.
