Abstract :
The conference focused on design and manufacturing aspects of hard disk drive technology. The presentations were organized into six sessions and covered the design of spindle, bearing, motor, hard disk drive/actuator and servo. There were also sessions on head-disk interface, tribology and manufacturing technology. The final session of the conference was on the newly emerging technology of microactuators
