Abstract :
The author examines the reasons why electronic cinematography, which eliminated the use of film, failed to come into general use. He discusses the drawbacks of video capture and considers how they might be overcome. He indicates possible areas of use of video equipment needs, and system and support needs. The author also considers the electronic processing and manipulation of film and electronic distribution and exhibition of theatrical material
