Abstract
A postprocessor has been developed for two- and three-dimensional magnetic fields that calculates the magnetomotive force (MMF) drop along an arbitrary path of finite elements. The calculated MMF drop is then compared with the enclosed current to determine accuracy of correlation with Ampere´s circuital law. In this way finite-element models and results are verified and better understood. Several three-dimensional examples are described to illustrate the technique
