Abstract :
A method based on equivalent circuit is presented to modeling and analysis the EBG structure of power planes. The planar EBG structure is divided into cells and connecting parts, the equivalent circuit is created by combining the multiport networks on contour integral equation and the microstrip lines. The stop bandgap of the EBG structure is obtained by circuit simulation, furthermore, it is discussed to attach the lumped inductors on the plane. The proposed method is validated by fullwave simulation in the EBG design of power planes.
