Abstract :
We develop two new classes of multiple transform algorithms for representing time-varying signals. The algorithms use either a gradient search or a recursive greedy search over partial sets of several different basis functions to capture different signal characteristics. We see that our proposed algorithms require fewer than one-half the computations required by the previous methods and represent the signal with less error
