Abstract :
An important video format for television broadcast and editing professionals is the 4:2:2 component digital video. This format is available in two forms-parallel and serial. However, the parallel form is on its way out. (The cables are quite bulky and awkward to deal with.) As a result, the serial form is becoming more and more the video format of choice. But, due to the high frequency of this serial version, several problems can arise when designing the supporting electronics. Several special techniques also exist to alleviate these problems, some of which are described
