Abstract :
A useful, but seldom used, Laplace transform pair is revisited. Despite the usefulness of this pair, it has generally been omitted from textbooks that introduce the one-sided Laplace transform. Its generality helps one see the roles of damping factor, natural frequency, and a zero in shaping the transient response of a second order system
