Abstract :
Probe and mode stirred measurements on panels of composite dielectric material with integral wire mesh screens confirm the presence of strong surface standing waves and some degradation in the anticipated electromagnetic screening effectiveness (SE). Calculations based on panels of infinite extent predict a periodic SE degradation effect which is apparent in the measurements, and possible methods for reducing the degradation are noted
