Abstract :
The original paper, by Huang, Chen Babri (ibid., vol.11, p.799-801, 2000), addresses a certain classification problem, and concludes that classification can be achieved using a single hidden layer neural network. It is stated that the author previously presented conclusions along similar lines in a more general setting ("General structures for classification," IEEE Trans. Circuits Syst. I, vol.41, p.372-6, 1994).
