Abstract :
A new structure for a programmable all-optical correlator is presented. It is based on the use of uniform fibre Bragg grating arrays as tunable elements for programming the optical code correlation function by using the wavelength selectivity of the gratings. Results demonstrating the storage of several different code sequences in the matched filter are presented. Autocorrelation results showing the recognition of gigabit per second rate code, and reconfiguration by turning the gratings, are also presented
