Abstract :
The compatibility of in-line optical regeneration with dispersion-managed wavelength division multiplexed soliton transmission is demonstrated, through the use of a new `black-box´ regenerator scheme. The possibility of achieving 4×40 Gbit/s transmission over 15 Mm. Compared to 2 Mm without regeneration, is demonstrated numerically
