Abstract :
For the original article see ibid., vol. CAS-33, no.12, p.1159-69 (1986). The commenters correct the graph delay scales in Fig. 1(c) and 1(d) of the paper by H. Baher and M. O´Malley. They provide a new definition of the transfer function defined in (20) in footnote 1 that includes more parameters than those originally given. The increase in the number of degrees of freedom results in better filter characteristics. The improved filter has both smaller attenuation, smaller group delay variations in the passband, and large stopband attenuations.<>
