Abstract :
This paper discusses the implementation of automated fault detection and diagnosis (AFDDS) in power generation sector. The key issues discussed are, the technology commercialisation potential based on cost-benefit ratios and how to further improve and develop this technology. Here the the concept of technology learning curve is used to identify what works in development and what works in commercialisation.
