Abstract :
DC transport critical currents have been measured on Y1Ba2Cu3O7 pellets, sintered under different conditions. Samples with a density ranging from 3.8 to 5.42 g/cm3 have been investigated. The magnetic-field dependence of the critical current has been measured at liquid-nitrogen temperature. High-density samples, sintered at temperatures exceeding 950°C, exhibit lower critical-current densities and a stronger dependence on a weak magnetic field
