Abstract :
This paper describes the functionalities and some implementation details of software tools to assist and to improve the process of note taking by students during a traditional lecture. The software tools allow professors to interact effectively with the students during lectures and help students to take relevant notes. They are based on a previously described software, and use a network of pen-based computers as well as a large screen projection system
