Abstract :
Coin Thickness Gauged. A unique X-ray gauge is being used by the U. S. Mint at Denver, Colo., in the control of weight of coins. Produced by Industrial Gauges Corporation of West Englewood, N.J., the gauge provides all-electronic control of the thickness of the metal strip from which the coins are formed, so that they do not vary from the extremely close tolerances established for United States coins.
