Abstract :
This paper focuses on the descriptive and predictive methods used in applying the Time Series Data Mining techniques to financial time series data for calculating Indian Inflation rates. The descriptive method creates various tables and plots for time series data. Tests are conducted to determine whether or not the observations could be samples from a random or white noise process. Predictive method will forecast the next coming month´s rates.
