Abstract :
The nonlinear filtering of delta modulated signals is introduced. The proposed technique suppresses spiky noise for which a simple model is developed. Look-up tables are employed to facilitate and speed up the implementation of the algorithm. Considerable similarity with conventional median filters is observed.
