Abstract :
This letter describes the development of a pre-screening method to select a few switchable line candidates, effectively reducing the number of integer variables in transmission switching problems. The numerical studies show that the proposed prescreening strategies accelerate identification of high-quality feasible solutions in optimal transmission switching problems.
