Abstract :
In this paper, a digital predictive current mode control technique is proposed. It utilizes a signal based on the average inductor current, which is created by a low-pass filter. The advantages of the proposed technique are: immunity to switching noise, fast dynamic response and ease of programming. The derivation of the control law is presented and its stability is discussed. It is also shown that the exact value of the input voltage and the converter inductance are not necessary. The performance of the proposed method has been verified through simulation and experimental measurements.
