We seem to live in an era where we cannot be certain about what the future, even the near future, is going to bring us. Newspapers are full of stories of yet another financial crisis and how difficult it will be to find a workable solution. Talk of unemployment and tax increases is common. In my home country, many people are inclined to exaggerate the seriousness of the situation so that everyone feels depressed, insecure, and lacking energy. This will get us nowhere. We need to fight to change this depressing trend.
