Abstract :
We live in an exciting world where technology is evolving extremely fast. Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile communication networks are designed to bring high speed connection availability to a high number of users and is very successful in achieving such goal. This paper presents results of a practical measurement campaign in a laboratory LTE setup and provides a means of low complexity estimation of instantaneous throughput, which is beneficial in applications where its knowledge is critical, such as adaptive video streaming.
