Abstract :
An incompletely connected feedforward neural network with three sections corresponding to the compression of the three parts of ECG, i.e. the P wave part, the QRS complex part and the T wave part, is applied to ECG data compression. Without increasing the computational burden, improved compression results when there is much variation in the ECG waveforms
