Abstract
An experimental study of the wavelength shift of four-wave mixing (FWM) bands as a function of pump power in single-mode photonic crystal fibers pumped at normal dispersion is presented. Three fibers whose zero dispersion wavelength is close to the pump wavelength were investigated. The wavelength shift of the signal and idler bands increases as the pump wavelength offset from the zero dispersion wavelength becomes smaller. A largest shift of 29 and 47 nm for the signal and idler wavelengths, respectively, is reported. Experimental results are compared with theoretical calculations based on a fully vectorial method showing good agreement.
