Editorial Special Section on Synthetic Aperture Radar from EuSAR 2008, Friedrichshafen, Germany

It is a pleasure to introduce this Special Section of IET Radar, Sonar & Navigation, dedicated to the 2008 European Conference on Synthetic Aperture Radar. EuSAR is the international conference devoted to the technology and techniques of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR). The conference is organised biennially and was first established in 1996. Since its inception, worldwide interest in EuSAR has steadily increased. While the first EuSAR featured two parallel sessions, the forthcoming conference (EuSAR 2010 in Aachen, Germany) will be partitioned into five parallel sessions.
